Each year, CYAN supports Great American Smokeout (GAS) events on college campuses to increase awareness of tobacco-related issues on campus as well as promote cessation services.

Who:
CYAN is able to support Great American Smokeout events and activities on college and university campuses in California. If you are a tobacco prevention advocate and you work with, work on, or attend a college or university campus in California, CYAN is able to support your tobacco-free GAS event.
What CYAN is offering:
This year we are excited to provide registered campuses with free materials to use in quit kits (e.g., cinnamon toothpicks, gum, etc.) as well as print materials from the California Smokers’ Helpline. Additionally, we will support paid media placement in campus newspapers (as funding permits).
Registration:
Registration for this event is currently open. To register for this event, simply complete an Event Registration Form and email it or fax it to CYAN. If you are interested in having CYAN support and place a GAS advertisement in your campus newspaper, please complete a Media Request Form. Registration for this event closes on Wednesday, November 4, 2009.
GAS Raffle:
All campuses that register their GAS event or activity will be entered into a drawing to win a Target gift card. Gift cards can be used to purchase materials for quit kits or other items to support campus-specific events. A total of 10 campuses will win a $25 gift card and 20 campuses will win a $10 gift card.
